Kolejną przygodę po Magurskim Parku Narodowym rozpoczęliśmy w Foluszu, który jest świetnym punktem wypadowym na kilka różnych szlaków. Nasza trasa miała być rozległa, z planem zdobycia Magury Wątkowskiej, zdobyciem pieczątki do Magurskiej Odznaki Terenowej, ogniskiem i wspinaczką na wieżę widokową. Plan obejmował kolejno: Magura, Wątkowa, Kornuty i Ferdel. Zobaczymy, jak pójdzie!
Zaczynając od Magury Wątkowskiej, warto wiedzieć, że to masyw górski w zachodniej części Beskidu Niskiego. Wierzchołki, które na niej się znajdują, to:
- Kornuty (830 m n.p.m.),
- Wątkowa (846 m n.p.m., najwyższy szczyt),
- Magura (829 m n.p.m.),
- Kornuty (836 m n.p.m.),
- Majdan (768 m n.p.m.),
- Łysy Czubek (711 m n.p.m.).
Naszą wyprawę zaczęliśmy przy kasie Magurskiego Parku Narodowego w Foluszu, gdzie znajduje się miejsce dziennego wypoczynku. To stąd szlak czarny skręca w kierunku Diablego Kamienia. Przed nami ekscytująca wędrówka przez ten urokliwy, pełen tajemnic park!
Po dotarciu do rozwidlenia szlaków obok Kłopotnicy, ruszyliśmy zielonym szlakiem w stronę szczytu Magury i Wątkowej. Podejście było średnio strome, niezbyt trudne, ale i tak zadyszka się pojawiła. 😅
Na szczycie obu gór znajdowały się tablice informacyjne, które pomogły nam lepiej poznać okolicę. Z Magury rozciąga się piękny widok na okoliczne szczyty, które także zostały opisane na tablicy. Przy dobrej widoczności można stąd dostrzec nawet Tatry! 🌄
Od 2006 roku w tym miejscu znajdują się także drogowskazy szlaku papieskiego, który biegnie głównie wzdłuż szlaku czerwonego i przedłuża jego małopolski odcinek. To miejsce jest więc ważnym punktem na mapie dla pielgrzymów i turystów.
Najnowszym przedsięwzięciem w okolicy jest drewniana konstrukcja z mapą Magurskiego Parku Narodowego, która z pewnością ułatwia orientację. Tuż obok szczytu Magury znajduje się również pomnik upamiętniający Jana Pawła II, odsłonięty 15 sierpnia 2003 roku, z okazji 50-lecia wędrówki papieża przez Wątkową i 25-lecia pontyfikatu. To szczególne miejsce, które łączy historię, naturę i duchowość.
W pobliżu znajduje się szczyt Wątkowa (846m n.p.m.). Tutaj nie ma już niestety żadnych widoków. Teren jest zalesiony, ale dobrze oznakowany. Tuż za Wątkową znajduje się palenisko ogniskowe, z którego tego dnia skorzystaliśmy. To idealne miejsce na odpoczynek po wędrówce, zwłaszcza w tak malowniczym otoczeniu. Ognisko przyciągnęło nas swoją przytulnością, a ciepło płomieni było doskonałym zakończeniem naszego dnia w górach. Takie chwile w sercu natury mają swój niezapomniany urok!
Przechodząc około 1km dalej doszliśmy do Rezerwatu Kornuty.
W tym oznaczonym miejscu należy skręcić w lewo ok 200m, aby dojść do wychodni skalnych. Znajdują się tam dwie najwyższe pionowe ściany „Babka” i kawałek dalej „Okap”.
Od strony podejścia ich wysokość nie jest tak dobrze widoczna, jednak jak dochodzimy do skał ujawniają swoje prawdziwe oblicze. Warto tutaj zajrzeć.
Przechodząc około 1 km dalej, doszliśmy do Rezerwatu Kornuty. W tym oznaczonym miejscu należy skręcić w lewo na około 200 m, aby dotrzeć do wychodni skalnych. Znajdują się tam dwie najwyższe pionowe ściany – „Babka” i kawałek dalej „Okap”.
Od strony podejścia ich wysokość nie jest tak dobrze widoczna, jednak gdy zbliżymy się do skał, ujawniają swoje prawdziwe oblicze, robiąc ogromne wrażenie. To miejsce jest zdecydowanie warte odwiedzenia, zwłaszcza dla miłośników przyrody i geologii, którzy chcą poczuć się blisko natury w jej najbardziej imponującej formie.
Przechodząc dalej, doszliśmy do rozwidlenia szlaków. Tutaj czarnym szlakiem, po przejściu około 1 km, można dojść do wieży widokowej na Ferdlu lub wrócić już do Folusza. Ponieważ jeszcze nie byliśmy na Ferdlu, decyzja była prosta – ruszamy dalej.
Warto dodać, że wieża widokowa nie znajduje się dokładnie na szczycie Ferdel, ponieważ to miejsce jest chronione przez rzadki gatunek orła białego. Wieża została postawiona stosunkowo niedawno, bo na Ferdlu gości od początku 2019 roku. Ma około 25 m wysokości, oferując wspaniałe widoki na okolicę, a widok z niej na pewno rekompensuje wysiłek włożony w dotarcie na szczyt.
Do wieży widokowej na Ferdlu można dojść z kilku różnych stron, wybierając szlak, który najlepiej odpowiada naszym preferencjom. Oto opcje:
- Szlak zielony Wapienne – Ferdel: odcinek 1,8 km, szacowany czas przejścia to około 30 minut. Jest to najkrótsza trasa.
- Szlak niebieski Rozdziele – Ferdel: odcinek 2,5 km, szacowany czas przejścia to około 55 minut.
- Szlak zielony Barwinok – Ferdel: odcinek 2,6 km, szacowany czas przejścia to około 40 minut.
Szlaki są niezbyt wymagające, więc spokojnie dotrzemy do wieży bez przepoconej koszulki – to idealne rozwiązanie na relaksującą, niezbyt forsującą wędrówkę.

Magura Wątkowska to jeden z 9 punktów wytyczonych przez Magurski Park Narodowy, które są częścią projektu zachęcającego do odkrywania tego przepięknego obszaru. Na każdej z tras, ścieżek czy szczytów znajduje się pieczątka, którą można zbierać podczas wędrówek. Zebranie wszystkich pieczątek upoważnia do odebrania odznaki terenowej, co stanowi wspaniałą motywację, zwłaszcza dla najmłodszych uczestników pieszych wycieczek. To doskonała okazja, by nie tylko podziwiać piękno przyrody, ale także zdobywać nagrody za aktywność na świeżym powietrzu!
